The Angono Public Employment Service Office (PESO) led by its officer-in-charge Jolan Santos Aralar will be recognized for the third time as Best Regional PESO 2017 on August 9, 2017 at Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay, Rizal.

This was announced to the Angono Public Information Office by Von Moreno, one of the staff of the office.

The PESO serves as the local and municipal arm of the national Department of Labor and Employment Office and TESDA office.

For 2016, the Angono PESO accomplished a 97.37% placement rate for job applicants that were successfully provided with jobs.

On a job fair organized last year May 17, the office achieved 68.78% in which out of the 692 applicants, 473 jobseekers were hired on the spot.

The office likewise provided Career Guidance and Employment Coaching in 13 schools with 2, 229 students which aims to provide career guide to students.

Angono PESO’s entry features its sustained “Bawat Bahay May Naghahanap-Buhay” strategy in which the local government spreads inclusive growth to its young constituents..

In 2015, Angono PESO won 1st place during the nationwide search and 2nd place behind Masinloc, Zambalez in 2016.

“Bawat Bahay May Naghahanap-Buhay” involves key stakeholders and the expanding vulnerable sectors who are empowered by increasing their employability and access to relevant trainings and livelihood opportunities.

The strategies included institutionalizing the office by combining PESO and Community Training and Livelihood Office; prioritizing those listed in Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program as priority in implementing employability enhancement schemes;

Maximizing social media and traditional forms in disseminating information so that stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the program; strengthening linkages with jobseekers and employers and other persons/organizations engaged in Employment Promotion Program.
